Join us for an engaging conversation with Julie McElrath, MSSW, Director for Community Partnerships and Strategy at The University of Texas at Austin School of Social Work.

With more than 30 years of experience in nonprofit leadership and systems change, Julie works to build meaningful community partnerships and connect research, education, and practice with community priorities. Her work has focused extensively on substance use recovery, recovery housing, and recovery-oriented systems of care.

Julie previously served as CEO of Austin Recovery and held leadership roles supporting youth and family recovery. A two-time UT Austin School of Social Work graduate, she is passionate about building community-engaged partnerships, creating sustainable solutions, and translating research into meaningful action.
